After missing their November show at the Music Box (I wound up with fake tickets) I was pretty excited to finally have my chance to see (and photograph) M83 last night at Club Nokia. While I do a like a few songs of off “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming” I can’t say that I was too blown away by their performance last night and judging by the response of the crowd, I wasn’t alone. Anthony Gonzalez admitted that the band was a little rusty and maybe battling a little nerves as it was a larger room for them and because they hadn’t played together in a month. Hopefully by Coachella they will be back in their groove so I will hold off my judgement until then.
